Commitees
Individuals in the nursing home industry are invited to participate on one or more coalition committees.
Education
Plan, facilitate, and promote teleconferences and other educational offerings.
Annual Conference Committee
Each year, the coalition hosts a one-day conference in Columbus Ohio. This committee coordinates all aspects of that day. The committee is broken down into separate sub-committees:
- Facilities - Scouts the location and makes decisions on food, seating, and other logistics
- Speakers -Chooses keynote speaker(s), promotes the availability of local nursing home representative presentations, and generates the final meeting agenda
- Promotions - Coordinates all marketing and promotional efforts for the event
- Vendor/Sponsorship - Entices industry vendors to sponsor the event and coordinates space and logistics for vendor booths
Website
Develop and maintain the coalition website and the coalition listserv.
Resource
Select and develop materials and other resources to be shared with the coalition members, posted on the coalition website, and promoted statewide.
Regulatory
Address perceived and actual regulatory barriers to the provision of person-centered care.
Public Relations
Plan and facilitate media events, conference presentations and exhibits, and other public events to educate the general public and medical professionals about the movement toward person-centered care.
Assessment
Assess the current pervasiveness of person-centered care in long-term care facilities in Ohio to focus and measure efforts of the coalition to spread this ideal.
