Julie Esack is a seasoned healthcare leader with over 20 years of experience in the long-term care industry, specializing in quality improvement, customer service, and employee engagement. Julie was previously a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator for eight years, leading 100+ employees, achieving deficiency-free health surveys, and prioritizing resident-first approaches in decision-making. Julie joined Direction Home Akron Canton in 2018, initially serving as the Quality Improvement Ombudsman, where she led successful nursing home staff engagement and customer service projects. Julie now serves as the Vice President of Elder Rights, overseeing the operations of the Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program across 13 counties, strongly advocating for every individual’s right to autonomy, believing that everyone should have the freedom to live their lives according to their own choices and values.
